Booking Terms & Conditions.
Al McTavish Photography
1. Deposit & Payment
1.1. A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your session date. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received.
1.2. The remaining balance is due on or before the day of your session. Payment can be made via bank transfer or another agreed-upon method.
1.3. 30% deposit amounts for each package:
CANDID ($295): $88.50
ULTIMATE ($550): $165
ABOVE & BEYOND ($750): $225
2. Rescheduling & Cancellations
2.1. If you need to reschedule, your deposit can be transferred to a new date (subject to availability) if at least 48 hours' notice is provided.
2.2. If you cancel your session entirely, the deposit is non-refundable.
2.3. If I need to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances, I will work with you to find a suitable new date.
3. Newborn Sessions
3.1. Newborn sessions take place either at home or in the hospital, based on your preference.
3.2. Sessions allow extra time for settling, feeding, and cuddles to ensure a relaxed experience.
3.3. If your baby arrives earlier or later than expected, we can adjust your session date accordingly.
4. Final Images & Upgrades
4.1. Your package includes a set number of edited digital images in both color and black & white.
4.2. You have the option to upgrade to your full gallery, which includes all professionally edited images from your session.
4.3. If you choose to upgrade, you will receive a $50 print credit for my online print store.
5. Ownership & Usage Rights
5.1. All images remain the copyright and property of Al McTavish Photography.
5.2. Clients receive personal usage rights to print, share, and display their images for non-commercial purposes, including on social media and personal websites.
5.3. Images may not be used for:
Any organisation, event, or platform promoting hate speech, discrimination, or harmful messaging.
Advertising or promotional use for any business, person, or entity other than the client.
Uploading or selling to stock photography websites or any platform that allows third parties to obtain rights to the images.
Any use that could harm or misrepresent Al McTavish Photography’s brand and reputation.
5.4. Credit to Al McTavish Photography is always appreciated when sharing online but is not required unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5.5. I love showcasing my work, but I also respect your privacy. If you prefer that your child’s images not be shared on my website, social media, or marketing materials, please inform me at the time of booking, and I will fully honour your request.
6. Editing & Misuse of Images
6.1. My images are a reflection of my artistic style and professional service. Any unauthorised edits or misuse may impact the quality and integrity of my work.
6.2. Clients may not edit, alter, or crop images in any way (including applying filters) unless expressly agreed upon in writing. If edits are needed, please reach out—I’m happy to assist.
6.3. If images are published alongside other photographers' work, care must be taken to avoid misrepresenting the images as part of another photographer’s portfolio.
